Ligia, 27, is from San Luis, Comayagua, Honduras. She has a degree in Psychology from the National Autonomous University of Honduras (Magna Cum Laude). She has a master’s degree in Hebiatrics: determinants of health in adolescents, by the University of Pernambuco, Brazil, OAS Scholarships Coimbra Group.
At CEMH, she works as a Project Coordinator focused on sexual rights and reproductive rights for young people and women. She represents CEMH in collective spaces that promote the decriminalization of abortion and access to the emergency contraceptive pill.
She has taught psychology and provided psychological care to women victims of gender violence, and psychotherapeutic care to adolescents. She has also been a volunteer for children that have dealt with forced eviction.
